At GENERATIVE Robotics, Aleksej Tokarev leads overall technical architecture — from optimizing the hardware of robotic systems and connecting robotics and IoT components to developing autonomous software platforms.
Aleksej Tokarev is a computer scientist with more than 15 years of experience in SCADA systems, machine-to-machine communication and autonomous technologies. Early on, he worked on autonomous driving projects and saw them through to market readiness — at a time when autonomous mobility was not yet a mainstream topic.
As founder and CEO of Security Robotics, he develops autonomous security systems from the first concept phase through to live deployment at customer sites. He brings this combination of technical depth, systems thinking and operational implementation to GENERATIVE Robotics as CTO.
In addition, Aleksej serves as a lecturer at the Berufsakademie, supporting the training of future computer scientists.
At GENERATIVE Robotics, Andreas Ciborius leads strategy, business development and customer relationships. He brings the network, operational depth and direct market access to companies, authorities and critical-infrastructure operators.
Andreas Ciborius is an entrepreneur, investor and founder with more than 20 years of experience in services, personnel deployment, security, technology and robotics. He specializes in integrated security solutions and critical infrastructure.
Since 2006, he has developed modern security and service concepts for companies, authorities and critical-infrastructure clients — with a focus on scalable, technology-based solutions. This work produced nationwide company structures with multiple locations and a strong network of specialists, technology and operational expertise.
Through daily work in demanding security environments, he knows the weaknesses, challenges and requirements of modern customer structures — experience he brings to GENERATIVE Robotics as a founder.
Early on, he recognized the importance of digitalization, AI and robotics for the security industry. Since 2019, he has integrated autonomous systems into real deployment scenarios, and in live customer operations since 2021 — for site monitoring, hazard prevention and intelligent support of operational security processes.
Today, he combines traditional security expertise with AI-supported video analytics, autonomous robot systems and digital control-room solutions — with the goal of creating sustainable, efficient and future-proof solutions for companies, authorities and critical infrastructure.
At GENERATIVE Robotics, Thomas Schröter leads software engineering — from AI integration through real-time data to IT architecture. He develops the technological foundation on which GR systems perceive, understand, decide and act.
Thomas Schröter is a software engineer and technical generalist with over 20 years of experience building complex, cross-platform systems. His focus is on combining scalable software architectures, modern AI and production-grade real-time applications.
In recent years, he has developed and integrated AI systems for real robotics applications, built backend and frontend architectures and delivered production-grade systems for autonomous security solutions.
This combination of software architecture, AI and operational systems development forms the technological basis of GENERATIVE Robotics.

Essen, September 22, 2026 — At “security essen 2026”, the leading international trade fair for the security industry, GENERATIVE Robotics presented the GR-01 to the public for the first time. The founders Aleksej Tokarev, Andreas Ciborius and Thomas Schröter introduced the company’s first autonomous mobile system.
Only a few months passed between the founding in June 2026 and the first presentation of the GR-01.
The GR-01 takes over recurring security, maintenance and inspection tasks on company premises — autonomously, with no ongoing operator input once integrated. It is designed for property protection and critical infrastructure, the pharmaceutical industry and intralogistics.
Technically, the GR-01 runs on four wheels with active independent suspension and handles rough terrain with ease; a mast that extends upward carries cameras and further sensors, complemented by adaptable arms. The system can speak and listen, weighs around 120 kilograms and, on a base of 120 by 80 centimeters, stands between 120 and 160 centimeters tall. For orientation it relies on LiDAR, stereo cameras and GNSS with RTK correction, complemented where needed by UWB, WLAN or Bluetooth; a weather- and dirt-resistant docking station recharges it autonomously — a single charge covers up to ten hours of patrol.
Interchangeable modules and open interfaces let the GR-01 be extended with additional cameras, radar, microphones, gas sensors or other sensors. An optional robot arm with 10 kg lifting capacity can be attached, enabling physical interaction with the environment directly on site. Fitted with a tow hitch, it also takes over recurring transport routes in intralogistics. It can run in the cloud or fully on-premise, and operating it requires no robotics expertise. Its range of use spans industry and manufacturing, facility management, security services and healthcare, through to critical infrastructure and everyday private use.
Co-founder Aleksej Tokarev highlighted the system's straightforward handling and its patrol time of up to ten hours per charge at the presentation. Co-founder Thomas Schröter pointed out that the versatile navigation technology allows a seamless switch between different deployment areas. The founders described their long-term goal as building an independent, relevant technology company within the European robotics ecosystem — robotics made in Germany for Europe and the global market, aimed at technological sovereignty and greater resilience for infrastructure, businesses and society.

Leipzig / Europe, June 24, 2026 — The technology industry is following with interest the first steps of GENERATIVE Robotics (GR) GmbH, founded in Leipzig on June 1, 2026. Behind GR are computer scientist and hardware engineer Aleksej Tokarev, entrepreneur Andreas Ciborius (CIBORIUS Group since 2006), and software engineer Thomas Schröter. They aim to introduce adaptive, generative robotic systems from Germany that meaningfully support people in nearly all areas of life — from industry and business to services and healthcare through to everyday private life.
“GENERATIVE Robotics positions itself as a long-term relevant, independent technology company in the European robotics ecosystem,” the founders state their vision. “We develop robotics in Germany — for Europe and the global market. This enables technological sovereignty and increases the resilience of infrastructures, companies and societies.”
In developing their first proprietary autonomous mobile robot (AMR — GR01), the founders and their teams draw on deep industry knowledge and extensive experience from years of deploying market-standard autonomous, AI-controlled technologies.
GENERATIVE Robotics will present itself at the leading international trade fair for the security industry “security essen” from September 22 to 25, 2026.
